Touch Screen to SX900

Hi All
I have a 15inch screen attached via USB 2.0 UGA multi-display adapter, to my SX900 which is very useful. However, I have to ask this question, as I can find no reference to it anywhere.
Will a touch screen operate in the same way as the built in screen if attached in the same way?
My thoughts are it will not, but its a case of, if I don't ask, I wont know the answer.
Of course if it wont work, I can save some cash.

No, unfortunately an external touch screen will not work.
