VOICE SET Discovery

After all these years and PSR keyboards, I discovered something in VOICE SET that I wish I had known years ago.

In the TOUCH SENSE section on the left is a column called OFFSET. This setting controls the desired velocity of a key-strike for a particular S.Art voice.

For example: If using a trumpet-fall type of voice or growling-sax, you can set exactly the needed velocity so you don't have to "pound the heck" out of the key to activate the feature. Each S.Art voice can be finely tuned to what's best for you for that song.

The adjacent DEPTH column controls the intensity of the feature, like how loud the sax's growl will be, for example.

This once again shows that "I may be dumb, but I'm slow!"

The same can be applied to the Harmony Effect.

Just have to set it to the right cut off velocity.

Sure Royce. Thats been there for a while. May I suggest that you save your favourite voices to a bank of registrations so you can use them with ANY song you are playing.

That way you have the option to use 12 different voices; 4 with OTS that comes with the style you are using AND the 8 registrations, assuming you program all 8

I tend to use 10 or so favourite voices, so using them is a snap with registration bank perhaps called Royce's Favourite Voices

You can actually change the voice set of any voice on the fly and overwrite the first voice you saved
