I always work with scores
The end mix is very importent
I use xgworks
I  do the remix in real time
I start the song in a loop and with the mouse do i make all the changes
replace most voices with better ones
Adding effects do voice edit, you can hear direct the results by realtime mixing
Fine tune the volumes add panning
This all in a few minuts
