Hi,

Is it possible on the T4 to save a registration in a style file so that it is seen in the MFD?

Or, can you change a registration in the MFD so it points to a self-made registration stored in the user area?

No.

To get this feature, you must upgrade to a Genos or PSR SX which has the playlist feature.

Hi Martin,

as already said by Fred, you cannot link Registrations to the Music Finder. (Incidentally, a Music Finder entry is called a "Record", so NOT a "Registration".)

In a Music Finder Record you can either link a STYLE, a MIDI song or an AUDIO song.

If you want to call up certain Keyboard Voice settings via the Music Finder, the only option for you would be to change the OTS (One Touch Settings) of the Style used as desired. The Style with the changed OTS must then be saved again (to the User drive or onto a USB stick, using the "SAVE" option in the Style Selection display). You can then link the Style to a Music Finder Record.

Please note, however, that by far not all parameters are saved in OTS that can be saved in Registrations. (For details, check the "Parameter Chart" in the T4 DATA LIST.)

My recommendation is NOT to work with the Music finder at all (at most to get suggested Song titles), but to work only with Registrations. (Incidentally, you won't get any new suggestions for the Keyboard Voice settings via the MF, because the MF only loads a certain Style and then uses its OTS settings.)

Yes, we've asked for that feature for a long time, and Yamaha finally delivered, albeit at a price.
