Hello all
Just wanted to say i recently purchased a new Genos from Keyboard America in Lewis Delaware.
I'm really enjoying the great sounds as I reprogram all my registrations from my PSR 975
Also love the large touch tone screen.
Any tips out there on getting started would be appreciated.

Jim

Are you moving up from another keyboard or is this your first one?

Congrats on your new purchase.

Genos is very smart  . . . when you load your old registrations from the previous keyboard into Genos, if for example Genos does not find a style from the old registration it will assign a new Genos style similar to the old.

Enjoy

Starting out with Genos. Just explore what you now have. Get used to what certain functions do.
One of your best friends will be the direct access button. Find out about assignable buttons as they can save a lot of time searching for things. Make sure you download the Playlist sets
and other freebies you will find on the Genos download site.
Overall just have fun and any questions just ask away.

Bonzai has an S975 too, or did you sell it Bonzai? I kept mine for gigs😀

When I got my Genos a year ago I read many of the first posts in this Genos General discussion to see what other people had to say when they had been new to Genos and getting to know it. I found this very helpful.

Agreed to a point. The Genos is pretty good at helping you transition but it's only about 85% accurate. You still need to go through each registration and make sure everything works as expected. I got caught a few times on stage with registrations I thought were all right but they created a train wreck! It's really easy to fix them but you must still check them all.
"Learn" your music correctly, then "practice" it. Don't practice mistakes because you'll learn them.

Thank you all for your comments. Sorry I'm just getting back to you all. I was traveling and enjoying my new Genos.  I still have my PSR s975 but would like to sell it as I also have the CVP705. If you know someone looking for one. Let me know. I'm asking $1300. I have it loaded with songs.
Anyway thank you all for the support

Congrats on your new Genos. The only thing I regret is that I did not get mine earlier.
