Hi,
can anyone explain how to mix two sounds for example; a voice in upper 1& upper 2 in to one voice?
I'm presuming it's possible in expansion manager but I've got no idea on how to do it.

Thanks,

Karl

Have a look in the YEM manual chapter "Special features for Tyros5/Genos".

It's more limited and fiddly than you think, though. You can't actually mix voices together, what you can do is select individual elements from the preset voices and combine them together. You can't select elements from SA / SA2 voices, and you can't copy effect settings.

You'd be better off just using a registration with R1 and R2.

Yes you can mix different elements in voices to give you two voices sounding together. I have done a few and they sound OK.

Thanks Derek & Eileen. I'll have a read now & give it a try this week.

(Can the individual volumes of two different voices be different?)

Thanks,

Karl

Remember if you are using YEM you are not combining voices, you are combining elements. Each voice can have up to 8 elements.

If you are combining elements in YEM, you have full control over the volumes and envelopes of each element.

But I'd definitely recommend just using a registration with R1 and R2!
