Good point. 👍
The only version at the downloadpage is now 2.7.0.... 🙄
Both 2.6 and the new one should have been available as long as the new one support only 64Bit.

Most people would create a single install file with all 6 packs in it, not constantly swap (unless it was too big). That's the point of YEM.

So when you get hold of a new pack, you use the cqi method in YEM to just "top up" the keyboard with the new pack. Then you have them all available.

Thanks Derek,

Being fairly new to YEM, don't know why, but I didn't think  of combining all 6 packs into one large .cpi file. That's great, they are now all readily available under expansion/user button. No more long loads. :)
Bear with me please, if I get a 7th pack, exactly how would I "top up" using .cqi ?

I did find an older version of YEM 2.3.2 that supports both 32 and 64 bit, and Windows 7:

But yea, I agree, Yamaha should also make 2.6 available for those that need 32 bit

Thought I had lost it, but it was just misplaced.  If someone needs the 2.6 installer, it's available here:

Thanks. 👍
I usually have every update stored, but accidentally deleted this one when downloaded the new one.

When you import a new pack in yem, then select an install target, tick the new pack. The bar at the top of the screen shows a little green extension representing the top-up. When you make the install file it will default to  a cqi top-up.

Watch out though you only get the chance to do this once, then it sees the new pack as part of previously installed content. You won't get the top-up option again unless you import another new pack. If you create the install file again without a new pack, you can only create a full cpi file.

Hi Larry,

import your 7th Pack into YEM (at "My Packs").

Then click on you Install Target and make sure that ALL the Packs you want to have on the instrument are ticked. (If you would tick only the new Pack, the other Packs would be deleted from the instrument during the installing process later.)

Click "Save as Pack Install File" and make sure that "Pack Quick Installation File (*.cqi)" is selected for the filetype.

Best regards,
Chris

Assuming that you already have your 6 packs in YEM . . .

When you get the next one(s) . . . . i would just add the next one to YEM and create a .cpi file . . .it will probably take about 15 minutes . . . . to save the cpi file and it will include all packs including old and new one . . .

Yes, you can save a few minutes with the .cqi . . . . but why complicate it ?. . . . i always, always do the .cpi . .  . and load into Genos.

Of course you will proceed as desired.

My two cents . . .

Much quicker just to load a new pack as CQI.
