There is also a new Update for the SX900 (V1.05) which fixes the Favorites bug:

Thanks for the heads up.
Ironically I thought the last up-date 1.3 ( 1.4 on the 900 ) was for the fav. issue, as i have not had any other problem since,....I see they have actually mentioned it now in the details.
I will resume using that feature ..
