Hello friends :) I finally broke down and bought the Bose S1 Pro speaker. It is lightweight and easy to carry, I got a backpack for it. I intend to use it either alone on small gigs, or in addition to my Bose L1 Compact.
Being so small, it is not as powerful as the L1 Compact, but the sound is clear, and it has a rechargable battery. I could have wished for phono sockets, but the minijack works fine. All in all I am satisfied. Now I have more options, depending on where I play. The Pro also has bluetooth, and that makes it more versatile! There are two microphone channels, with reverb, bass and treble. I would have liked that on the minijack channel also, but I don't think that is customary.

Hello Toril,

I'm pleased to hear that you have bought a Bose S1 Pro speaker.

I have been thinking of getting one of these to use at home on the Genos. It would be better in the home I think than the Yamaha MSR100 I am using at the moment. The MSR is really more suitable for a PA system. The S1 Pro also seems to be lighter, more compact and more versatile.

You are certainly getting a great collection of musical equipment. Good for you - enjoy it all.

Love to Kalinka and Fryd.

Stay safe and well

Glad you're happy and also sorted out the issue!! and it's working good...I love a good sounding PA...
Have to admit I have always used my headphones out for all mine and now I discovered there is a switch option so I can use the on board as monitors then even better ..
Happy times using them ... enjoy

I have the S 1 PRO, IT IS GREAT I have used it for large audience and it puts out great, it has the tone match !!! you get a much better sound if you shut that off in your key board channel, I run my mic threw the keyboard, I use my big L1 model 2 bose for a big audience that little S1 will do a great job, I think it sounds just as powerful as the Bose compact,it wont compare to the bose mod2 but has a very powerful and good sound, enjoy

The ultimate gig test today! It worked very well! But because the venue was big I connected it to my Bose L1 compact. It worked great!

Hi Toril

That's good. Seems a very versatile piece of kit. Glad you're happy with it and good that you were able to try it out on a gig.

I might consider getting one.

Love to Kalinka and Fryd and to you of course.
