Registration sync/start not flashing when recording MIDI multitrack

Hi,

When I record my song via audio quick recording or audio multi track, I can select my registrations (via foot pedal) and they work fine. But when I try to do MIDI multi tracking, my 2nd registration won't have sync/start flashing the way it should, which messes up the recording since I play the first phrase rubato and then trigger the style accompaniment in the second registration. Any idea why?

No idea why. I agree it's very annoying.
