I tried to upload a style file to my keyboard using USB drive. It is visible in keyboard screen. But it displayed in error message when I try to upload the file. Then I edited the file using  Style Receiver. The edited settings are as follows. Then again I try to upload the edited file but again displayed the same error message.
Pls help me to solve my problem.

Where did you get this style file?  If it is from one of the models that use SFF2 styles (PSR S-910/S-710 & Tyros 3 and newer), then you will need to convert it with Jorgen Sorensen's SFF2 to SFF1 file converter program.  The PSR-E series boards will only play SFF1 style files.  Also, if the style file is much over 52Kb in size, it is too large for the PSR-E series boards.

He also offers another utility that will identify whether a style file is SFF1 or SFF2:

However, recent experiences have indicated that loading an SFF2 style into a PSR-E series board appears to load and run OK, but there is no sound output and no error message, even though the style does not actually load or run, and styles that are too large for the PSR-E series boards normally just do not appear in the menu as a loadable file, to begin with.  So the fact that you are getting some type of error message may just indicate that you have a corrupt file.

Mr. Roy,
The file capacity is less than 50k. actually it is about   4k. I got this file from internet. Attched screen photo
indicates every thing. I don't know wheher it is sff1 or sff2.

Mr. Roy,

The attached programs were not working properly. But I opened it using simplified style player. It shows its format as SFF 1. But the file cannot load to my keyboard.

Hi Dulsara,

you could try "Style Fixer" PC (Windows) program:

Good luck!

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
