Are there other Yamaha styles that will work somehow on Tyros 2...?
From other Tyros, S units etc,....
or do I need a programs to convert?

Thank you all for help..

Go to the bottom of this page of mine here:

https://www.psrtutorial.com/sty/collections/drake.html

Look for the 532 styles collection I converted to work on my PRS2000, all will work in a Tyros 2 keyboard

Check the other members pages for even more styles.

It depends what you mean by "work".

All styles will load and run on a T2 (or any other Yamaha keyboard for that matter).

However, if the style calls for a voice (or drum kit) not on your keyboard, the keyboard will substitute what it thinks is best, which may not produce the result you want. That's why we say you might need to tweak any style you try.

Thank you all this has been a Christmas Morning being able to obtain all these styles for T2...
I really appreciate the help. It has been a while since I played a Tyros 2 and with all these styles I will have myself some fun.
Thanx again to all 8)

Dnj. I had my T2 for 12 years of enjoyment, then decided I would have a change but I should have stayed with it.
Try Styles from PSR9000 & 9000Pro work very good on T2.

Yamaha produced 2 USB Sticks for Tyros 2 Regi-Stick Plus & Regi-Stick Classic, both USB's contain Registrations but most important was instruction of setting the EQ & CMP which brought the T2 to life.

I'll took to see if I can find the setting for you I had at the time.

Dnj. The most important of the two is the CMP settings.
Type Standard. Basic Type BASIC.
Threshold Offset +0
Gain Offset LOW +10
Gain Offset MID +6
Gain Offset HIGH +8
Name and save it RegiStick
(I'm using same CMP's on my T5-76)

These Regi-Sticks were put together by James Sargent & Richard Bower at that time Yammy Keyboard demonstrator who made a very good job and are worth having, perhaps a kind Forum member may share them.

PS.The Regi-Sticks for T2 are still available at Yamaha Club.

Thank you Graham for the info appreciate it! I have tried these settings
and it definitely makes a big difference in overall sound wow! :)

question besides Registration does the Registick include NEW styles not on T2 also? or?

Graham UK

Just Registrations plus some pedal voice for those using bass pedals.

Here's a pdf explains a little.

A lot of the later Styles SFF2 can work when converted to SFF1...A bit of trial & see.

Hi Dnj,

Tyros2 can only load styles in the earlier Style File Format "SFF1".

With the PSR-S910 and Tyros3, however, the new style file format "SFF GE" (also called "SFF2") was introduced. This means that all preset styles from the models mentioned above can NOT be loaded directly into the Tyros2. The only way I know of loading SFF2 styles into SFF1 keyboards is to use the "Style Format 2 Converter" by Jørgen Sørensen:
>>> http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sf2c/index.htm

Of course, special SFF2 features (e.g. with regard to guitar tracks) are lost with this conversion, as these did not yet exist in SFF1 format. In many cases it will therefore be necessary to manually adjust the styles on the target keyboard (here Tyros2).

In the case of Genos Styles that use Revo drum kits, further processing steps are necessary, as Revo kits are not compatible with the key assignment of the standard drum kits.

Fortunately, there are a lot of styles on psrtutorial.com that can be used on SFF1 keyboards, e.g. here:

>>> https://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/psr-s900.html

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hi

Styles using Revo Drum Kits can be "cleaned" using my "Revo Drum Cleaner" software at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/rdclean/index.htm
