The specs list a number and then lists more voices etc below it.
Why?
Thanks

They are telling you what type of styles they are that make up the total listed. Session, DJ, Free Play etc.

So it has 1337 plus drum kit plus 480 voices?
Thanks

Yes that is correct:
Voices: 1337+480 voices+drumkit
Styles: 525
And I never ever use all those voices and styles, not even half of it  ;)
My best regards,
Ton

I've played around with some CVP-709 preset voices in the electric piano category, and there are some S.Art! voices that sound really good and unique, but there are a few that sound the same as the Sweet! voices. The SX900 has a lot of ROM potential and can handle even more than the presets already onboard.

A fact for which I'm very grateful! There are many times when a student has had issues with an S.Art voice doing one of its built in 'tricks', perhaps because the student is playing too legato (if that's possible - and good teachers do instil legato playing from day one!). The only solutions are for them to play slightly non-legato (which they often find tricky) or to use the almost identical non S.Art version of the voice - often tucked away in Legacy these days.
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
