Packaged like an SX

Check out this new model, almost pretending to be an SX !!

Nice looking china made keyboard arranger.
Like a Hybric stuff from both psr sx mix korg Pa plus synthesizer.

Honestly, I am licking with that 3 function knobs.
It look like able changing the feature/function just deep press the knob and the circles led indicator design seem the knob is  unlimited rotary control rather than assign knob on sx900 .

If yes, that is cool design.

Be an interesting article to follow...Low Price does not always indicate low quality.
It will certainly put the competition into a price thinking mode.

Having myself worked in Audio products, we knew our costing to produce a product, so how did we set a retail selling price ?.
First deciding factor was taking into account (the competition) what price would customers be willing to pay.

Will be interesting to see if it can read Yamaha software and if the OS is the same.....i very much have my doubts...
If this is actually the case a decent PA should make it pretty dam good even if the internals are not as good sounding as an original SX

One thing that is often forgotten is that a sale price also takes into account product support ... if we have a problem, we know that Yamaha is there and that it is able to give assistance all over the world (sometimes in the big cities close to us).
With this keyboard who can help you (and where?) In case of need?
They are things to consider...
for example, in U.S.A. only in "278-B Duffy Ave. Hicksville, NY" in Itali only "Via Enzo Ferrari, 10, 62017 - Porto Recanati, Italia"..

Good point.... as Yamaha are VERY good on after sales and also there would not be such a dedicated expert forum group like here. I also note there does not seem to be a UK centre - only Ireland
I certainly wont be in the market for one - it was just interesting ..... being what i see as a ''cheeky copy''

I don't think they'll even come to Norway. But even if it does I would not buy it for the above reasons. Support is extremely important. We have Yamaha certified repair shops in Norway, but sometimes we have to wait a rather long time for parts.

Should I remind to you that it is also an instrument and not a gadget or a pc or a tablet?
Listen to it again.
Then listen to your keyboard.
If you cannot find much difference, well....you could go for it.
I don't think you really need an S/SX series.
There is a "slight"(?) difference between something that sounds descent and something that sounds great.

If it was released here, and was much lower in price than the XS maybe I would do it, but I am very fond of Yamaha, so I seriously doubt it!
