Thank you for your reply, but I already know how to use the YEM. I take it I need to load the ppi file into YEM but when I try to import it the YEM doesn't see the file.
Does it need to be converted in some way ?

DerekA

? You can't load a PPI file into YEM, that's the file which YEM creates and which you install onto the keyboard.

Can you say clearly what you are having trouble with? Where do you start, how far do you get and where do you get stuck?

A PPI file is one you load directly into the keyboard from a USB stick how ever you can only ever have one pack loaded at a time with this type of file. A PPI file can not be turned into a PPF file which is what you get when you purchase the pack.

Thank you for the reply's Eileen & Derek.
I downloaded this file when I got the Genos about 3 months ago, I've no idea where from, I tend to download anything that looks interesting with a view to using later but as we all know later hardly ever comes !!!

I tried putting it on to a usb and loading in to the keyboard, but couldn't work out how to load it.
I wonder is this type of file  for universal use or keyed to only one keyboard ?

EileenL

Go to Menu and select Expansion to load your PPI

PPI can install only one type of keyboard.
ppi for Genos can install on any Genos, can not install on other keyboard.

EileenL

PPI files can install on other keyboard CPI can not.

Thank you Eileen, I think that's what tried the first time, but just tried again and it comes up saying "file incomplete" so I'm guessing something either went wrong when it was downloaded or when it was put on to the usb.
Either way I've now found out how to load a .ppi file should ever get another one !!
So thanks to everyone for the help.
