Hi,
Have a question on using looping multi pads.
Was considering just say, muting piano track in a style and using a piano multi pad instead.
I set it up in registrations.
Ie mute piano vari 1, play multi pad 1 instead. Synced up perfectly using the registration 1.

Next I decided to mute piano var1 2, chose multi pad 2, but discovered unless I pressed the Stop Button before changing registrations both pads played even though I had only saved one of the pads to each of the registrations.

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong when saving registration, or if that's just the way yamaha pads work.

I did find a work around, but a bit messy.
Pressing stop button isn't an option for me as I can't reach it because of the way I have my p121 and Sx set up.

Mainly checking if this is the way it works or if I'm doing something wrong.
Best wishes

It's the way pads work.

Your option is to have your new pad in the same number as the old. Then it will replace the pad (thus stopping it) when it's loaded by your registration.

The other option is to use a Padstopper. This is a pad which does nothing (just has an end statement).

Cheers,
Fred

Thank you Fred,
I'll try the options you suggested.
Mainly checking to see if I was doing something wrong, I think my Korg pads worked differently, no problem though, just a case of just working around it.

Thanks again.

Hi Fred,
what exactly do you mean by a Padstopper, is it just an empty pad?
Thank you

Thank you Fred.

Thank you Joe, I will read article. They work differently to Korg, so had me a bit confused.

So much to learn. Haha
