Adjusting mic reverb

THIS is what I've been using one of the Live Control knobs with on the S970. Not mic volume.
Ok, I'm singing and playing, connecting to the audience. With no Live Control option for mic reverb. What's the fastest way for me to adjust this?
The fact that mic reverb isn't a parameter on Live Control and doesn't appear on the first page of the Mixer menu SUCKS!!

I have a PSR-S950 and I set up all my Mic settings (I have a over a dozen of them) into Registrations. I generally do not use a registration for playing the song but instead setup each custom song style with the properly set OTS voice and it's volume saved with the song's name. If I do need to use a Registration to perform a song I use slot 7 and 8 of the registration for my MIC set ups.

A normal registration Mic set up uses slot 1 for Mic Volume set to ZERO (off). Slot 2 has the Mic volume with No reverb and is used to speak to the audience. Then slot 7 is with the proper REVERB setting and 8 has the REVERB and proper Harmony with it.

You can watch me flipping the backup vocals on and off by visiting my YouTube link below in my signature.

Works perfect. ;)

I'd like to be able to attenuate the reverb, not just toggle on/off.
The only way I see to adjust the reverb is to double click the mixer button, scroll to the second page, then hit reverb on the touch screen and then adjust. 5 steps. This sucks. With the S975, I could set the Live Control knob to voice reverb and perfectly adjust the reverb to my liking without taking my eyes off of the audience. I'm pissed.

OK, I can hit Mic Setting twice and then hit the reverb option on the touch screen and adjust. This really should be easier in a live performance. I know that I can already save the right reverb level in a registration, but sometimes adjustments need to be made, and sometimes I forget after the performance which songs need adjustment when I get home.

Hi beaky,

I don't have an SX900 so I can't check this out, but open the Live Control display (MENU > Live Control) and try selecting 'Reverb' for one of the Live Control knobs.

On Genos when you do this the various parts that can be controlled are displayed at the bottom of the display as a series of check boxes.

On Genos one of the boxes is for the 'Mic' part and if you check it then you can change the reverb applied to the Mic using the knob.

You can deselect any parts that you don't want to be changed by the knob, and then only the Mic. reverb is controlled.

It might be worth checking to see if this is also the case on your SX900.

Ian

You solved my problem. Thank you, Tyrosaurus! Please give me an email so that I can send you $10,000 via Paypal.

The SX900 rocks.

I use the right button for mic reverb. I can adjust it during a performance. Very handy.

Ian,  Great find, your post was very helpful, I too used that reverb feature on my s970 and wondered why it may have been eliminated.  Thank you

You also can make a registration with all the settings you may need and name it and then use it as a starting point for further storage. The keyboard do remember your last settings when you turn it on.
