Has anybody tried using AirPods with a Genos 1 or 2?
I have used headphone out to a monitor speaker before but don't know what accessories would work using AirPods from the same output.
Thanks

Unless something has fundamentally changed recently, bluetooth is only useful to musicians as audio streaming *in* (you won't care if prerecorded audio takes an extra second to arrive after you press play) or midi out (as midi uses up very little bandwidth). Bluetooth has a bandwidth of up to 2.4Mbps (megabits, not megabytes) which is 300 kBps (kilobytes). Wifi 5Ghz has a bandwidth of 1300Mbps.

Long story short, there are no instruments that support bluetooth headphones because you'd hear a note roughly 1 second after you pressed a key. There *are* wireless options (infrared, wifi) with really low latency (4ms even at 2.4Ghz); Yamaha sells a YHWL500 2.4Ghz wifi headphone, which can be used for bluetooth on your phone, but not for an instrument.

Yes, the transfer protocol plays a huge part as well, but if you're looking for at least CD quality sound, then there will be a delay with such a small bandwidth like bluetooth (there *is* a new bluetooth protocol that sacrifices clarity for less latency, but I'd think musicians want the best sound quality), and it's stil 10x the latency of wifi.

Thanks Mark
I guess I hoped things might have changed since I don't keep up with technology as well as I should.
