Hello, why is the default STYLE volume always set so much higher than Parts: LEFT, RIGHT1, RIGHT2, RIGHT3. I find this VERY ANNOYING!

Thank You
Johnny

Try setting your keyboard touch to soft.

Hi Eileen,

Exactly how does one do that?

Richard.

Johnny, I don't know if it works for you? But as Eileen wrote, give it a try..

MENU2 - Keyboard/Joystick
KEYBOARD - Initial Touch

Details: Reference Manual: page 37  :)
My best regards,
Ton

Hi John,

when you turn on the keyboard, all Parts are initially set to Volume 100. If the STYLE Volume is too high, when you load Styles directly and play with their OTS, simply set the STYLE Volume to a lower value (in Mixer display). (OTS do NOT change the STYLE Volume.)

If you make your own Registrations, the STYLE Volume will be memorized (and recalled later) if the checkbox "Style" is ticked in MEMORY dialog.

You could also use a Live Control knob to quickly adjust the Volume Balance between the Style and the Keyboard Parts: Assign the function "Balance" to one of the knobs. Then you can adjust the Volume Balance between parts "A" and "B". (You can select which parts belong to "A" or "B" in the pop-up window called up via [Balance Setting] at the bottom of this display.)

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thanks Chris for the Tip. This has proved to be very useful for me.

Best wishes,
Richard.
