Midiplayer batching feature no longer available?

Why is there no new software that carries on the batch conversions of voices between different Yamaha brands like we had with MidiPlayer?

Why is this process now so tedious on i.e. MixMaster whereas it could be a fully automated batch function? I used to use a combination of MixMaster and MidiPlayer, but Midiplayer will no longer run on my 64 bit Windows 10 so now I've totally lost this feature!

I appreciate all the new free software, but I miss this single feature the most!

Hi Henni,

MidiPlayer (V8.3.1) works great on my Windows 10 (64-bit) system. I have the latest Windows 10 version "1909 Build 18363.476".

I first installed the "Full Package" V7.1.6 of MidiPlayer and then updated to V8.3.1 by copying the unzipped update files to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\MidiPlayer\" folder. (When prompted, you have to allow the operating system to replace older files.)

Hi Henni,

I have no error messages with "MidiPlayer" at all ...

Did you already contact Michael Bedesem regarding this issues?

Best regards,
Chris

I do not know if it applies in this case, but the manual includes tha following:

If operating under Vista or Window 7.

Install the program as an administrator by right-clicking the installer file and select "Run as Administrator". Answer "yes" to the warning message.

If installed, use Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\ Program Files (x86)\MidiPlayer folder and mark MidiPlayer.exe file to run as an administrator by

- Right clicking the program and select Properties.
- Under the compatibility tab, select Run This Program as an Administrator.
- Click Apply and OK.

Hi Michael,

Done all of this already.

Update: Just now again:

1. Uninstalled it
2. Searched for and removed every trace of Midiplayer
3. Re-booted
4. Installed as Administrator
5. Set properties to run as Administrator
6. Tried compatibility from Win 95 to Win 8

Results stay the same...

Regards,

Henni
