Man, the simplest way is to buy a licence of StyleMagicYA, which is something like 53 Euros, and you get all these problems solved in 10 seconds of PC work ;)

agree, be it that unfortunately the website (midisoft pl) has not been available for a long time due to outdated security certificates (using MS Edge and Firefox and Chrome) :( :-\

It is a unfair reply to make to me.....not everybody has good Computer Skills and knowledge about the software you mention.

I for one dont understand certain Programmes on music Software.

Anyways with Yamaha Keyboards why can they not include the Adjustment knobs within the Styles to change the Octaves...just like in the VOICES section.

Ronnie,

People are trying to help you. A lot of people are trying to help you. And the advice isn't costing you a cent. Yours is the comment that's unfair.

Asking why Yamaha doesn't do something is useless here. None of us know. Only Yamaha knows. Ask them.

And your fear of computers is unfounded. It's a lot easier to change registrations, styles, midi files with the right program on the computer than on the keyboard.

When you're nice to the people who are trying to help you, you'll get a lot more help than not. The simplest thing would be for you to post the style you want changed. Somebody will fix it for you.

Cheers,
Fred

Ronnie... no offense intended. While I agree with Fred; you make a valid point.  Yes Yamaha could have and maybe should have included an Octave button the Mixing Console to make changing an octave for each style part easy (you can do this with Left and Right Voices)... but they haven't for style Parts yet.

And... actually the StyleMagic software is easy to use for editing styles. There is a button in the StyleMagic Mixing Console you just click on and it opens a dialog box allowing you to shift the octave up or down.  StyleMagic very easy to use for mixing styles and has more features than Style Creator on the keyboard.

Having said all that, I think there is room for a lot of improvement for editing and mixing both styles and Multi Pads right on our keyboards, especially now that the newest models have a touch screen.

Thanks for replying
I seem to have annoyed several people here with just a simple question, that I asked....
Just because I cannot use computer programmes on music  I feel that I just will forget my opening thread.

But many thanks to other people whom were patient in their replies

Ronnie,

If you can post to this forum, you have sufficient computer skills. That's what people don't understand. If you had no computer skills, there would be no thread.

Sorry you didn't appreciate all the effort that went into trying to solve your problem.

Cheers,
