Hi Keyboard-Friends,
Today, I updated my Genos to V2.0.
I used the Software OpenText from Bedesem / Volbragt with Genos V1.4 and it worked fine.
The new update is not working with OpenText anymore.
I used the same procedure as everytime before and checked the MIDI Settings in accordance with the preparations necessary to use OpenText.
Settings ok, but no success in working with OpenText.
Does somebody have the same problems ?
... AND an idea to solve the problem ?
I would be very grateful for any help.
Regards,
Klaus

Hello Klaus,

I have not yet installed the new update 2.0.
Next week I will install it.
I let you know if I encounter any problem.

Etienne
If plan A doesn't work, don't forget that the alphabet has 25 more letters.

Klaus,

I use the same system as OpenText, as I originally started with that system, before I switched over to SongBook.

I've updated to 2.0, and all my midi files work properly. If so, OpenText files should work as well.

When I was using OpenText, I had to create a specific Midi Setup configuration. OS2.0 resets the midi setups to factory.

So it may be that you have to recreate the midi setup file that you did when you started using OpenText.

Hope this helps,
Fred

Thanks both of you ! :)

But I made some mistakes with creating the OpenTextSetup-file (USER-area).
A friend of mine was able to find the reason, why I meant OpenText wouldn't work.
After I eliminated the errors, working with OpenText was possible as before.
As usual: if one does a setting only one time in the past and not again, you forget the procedure.

Again: Thank you !

Klaus
