Just curious, why would you want to do that?
76 keys and key after touch are two reasons to keep it.
I never understood why Yamaha would keep after touch off there mid range keyboards.

I have both keyboards but I would not part with my Genos and with the big update coming it will be even better than it is now. Also there are no SA2 voices on SX900. It is a nice little keyboard but just not Genos.

Thank you Mark & Eileen,

We play mostly at Seniors Homes and at 66 years old I am finding it a bit difficult to load & unload the Genos and carry 2 x Bose S1 etc.

If the PSR SX900 can eliminate the weight and I can connect my Merish 5 mixer to PSR SX900 (so I have 2 microphone inputs + Guitar Input through my Merish 5 mixer) and the built in speakers are good enough to play for around 60 audiences then this would be my main reason to sell the Genos keyboard.

I love the Genos Keyboard specially I play the Voice Instruments on my Guitar and it sounds excellent.

Here is the latest recording of our trio group MUSIC VARIATIONS posted on U-Tube

I may reconsider your valuable advice and still keep the GENOS and if PSR SX900 works for Seniors Homes then I may buy it to take for performance for small audience.

The local agent of Yamaha just called me to let me know the PSR SX900 arrived and I will be going on Monday for a DEMO & testing with my MERISH 5 Midi & MP3 Mixer.

Oz

This is really sad :( , I hope you can have both keyboards, so you can go to work with SX900 and still enjoying (maybe at home) your Genos, God bless you!

Hi Osvaldo, congratulations. You have a wonderful group. I loved all the songs, but one song especially touched my heart "the way you look tonight", I think it brought some memories to my mind. I suggest you keep the GENOS, it is an excellent keyboard. Follow us delighting in that good music. Regards. Hans

I agree with Eileen.
I think it is wise to follow her advice, if possible.

Why kill a winning horse and loose a lot of money ?

No SA2 voices and ... weight ?
Almost no difference in weight.

Take care, Babette

Hi Oz --

I can relate to your troubles. At some point, it gets difficult to schlep around a bunch of gear. Even though I can store some of it at my gig (church), it all gets to be too much at times.

Best of luck -- pj

Hi Oz

I loved listening to you play Genos and sing beautiful harmonies with your trio, MUSIC VARIATIONS

Really superb♥️

I am sure others here would be just as  enthralled as I am. Maybe you could re post these to the PSR board where music performances usually are. I feel sure you will get rave reviews🎶🎶🌹

To many instruments
Keep the bass and drums from the keyboard
Don't use the sax solo let the guitarist play the solo
This makes it more a life band

Be mistake Downgrading to the SX

Plus, with all due respect, Dealers sell Genos with speakers and stand for around 4200$

Brand new of course!

svpworld

Genos is only 13kg, PSR SX900 is 11.5kg plus power supply so probably 12kg.... I don't think the weight will make much difference 😊

Elad770,

Which dealers are selling the Genos for $4200. I have been looking, and none of them are going that low, unless it is used.

Thanks,
Rick D.

Here in the US, I purchased my Genos
From Hammond Organs who's an authorized Yamaha dealer
I paid 4100$ Including shipping

Genos+Speakers+Stand+Pedal= 4100$

Best Deal I've ever made.

Rick D.

Thanks Elad770 and Eric, B
I tried Franks, I will give Hammond Organ a try.

Elad770,

Just got off the phone with Vince from Hammond Organ World.
There was a slight increase in the price you got because of the new tariffs imposed to China. I have no problem with that.
They are definitely offering the best deals on the Genos. I need a stand and speakers to go with it as well.
Thanks for the tip!
