That Tone / Chord / Note that can bring back memories

I'm not sure if everyone experience's the same way that I do.

Have you ever had a part of a song, it could be a chord, even a note.
Bring back old memories...

It's usually the warm and calm progression of the song that can trigger it.

Hi Norman,

Yes I do but usually with a vocalist's single note and tone from a time and a song gone by.
Makes my hair stand up as it awakens a memory.
I'm pleased that I'm not alone

This happens all the time to me - nothing I can control, though. Then I sit down at the keyboard and play the song that escaped the cobwebs of my aging brain.
