You need to turn the sequencer on. It should be in the same screen as the sequence+ setting.

You could also benefit a lot by:
1. Don't be so down on yourself ("as expected ..."). Thousands of people use registrations successfully. So can you.
2. Watch my registration videos (link in signature).

Fred is correct.
(from the manual:)
1. If you intend to use a pedal or pedals to switch the Registration Memory number, connect
the optional pedals to the appropriate ASSIGNABLE FOOT PEDAL jacks.
2. Press the REGIST BANK [- and +] buttons simultaneously to call up the Registration Bank Selection display.
3. Select the desired Registration Memory Bank to create a sequence.
4. Call up the Registration Sequence display via [MENU] - [Regist Sequence]
It seems you only did step one until now.

And also check that you choose the correct pedal in the pedal menu (via Direct Access, you come in the menu for both pedals)!

Good luck this time!

Ok. You have the sequencer on. Now you have to create the sequence you want the pedal to follow. The pedal doesn't know which registration to switch to unless you tell it.

In the sequence screen (the blurry one you posted):
— press the Reg button you want to start with
— press Insert
— continue with these two steps until you have created the sequence you want
— now save the registration
— watch my resignation videos

pressing the pedal moved along the registration ( i did NOT enter each registration for the pedal)
BUT once it got to number 8 what then? how do i get it to go back to registration 1?

Hi anon125,

please first read the chapter "Calling Up Registration Memory Numbers in Order (Registration Sequence)" in the SX900 Reference Manual, pages 87/88.

In item 7 ("Select the action that will result when the Registration Sequence reaches the end.") it is explained that you can select one of the three options Stop, Top or Next to determine what should happen when the end of the registration sequence is reached.

Best regards,
Chris

If you look at your blurry picture, you will see a rectangle in the middle with the dots. In the bottom right of this rectangle a 'Stop' word is shown. Press this stop word to change it to 'Top' which will cause the registration sequence to continue with the first reg button after the last one has been reached.

And, if you want this remembered, you need to save the registration after making the change.

johan

You have to press the 2 registration bank buttons together (at the same time).
