MixMaster is a great and useful program. Watch a playlist from my Youtube channel.

Great, Ckobu. Thank you for the link !👌

Will watch your video tomorrow when I start to work with SFF2 styles to be saved in XGW.
First of all I will start with preset styles of my T5. Good idea ?

If there are more " tricks " I need to know how to work with SFF2 styles in MixMaster/XGW, I would be very grateful to let me know.

Thank you in advance, Babette

Hi Ckobu and Joe H :

Sorry guys but I am doing something completely wrong. No doubt.  :o
I do not know what ( yet ). Silly me !

The import of XGW in MixMaster was successfully installed.
T5 voice list is well installed and selected in XGW.

H E L P !!!

To help me out, would it possible for you to explain me " step by step " how to proceed ?

THANK YOU SO MUCH !

Attached plse find the original SFF2 style.
Hope the original style sound remains unchanged in XGW after " XGW conversion ". :P Cross my fingers.

Best regards, Babette

I do not know what you want to do with Style. Let's say, on my videos you can see adjusting the drum elements. You must always have these steps to complete the process successfully.

1. Open Style in the MixMaster
2. Going over GoTo to GXWorks (video 1.02 sec)
3. Processing Style in XGW
4. Save changes to XGW (video 4.13 sec)
5. Save the new Style

Hello Ckobu,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I will follow all your steps. SUPER ! :D

I would like to make the attached style sound ( in XGW ) like the sound of the original style.

It might be wishful thinking, I guess ...  :( or do you think it is possible ?

Best regards, Babette

FYI... When we load a style into ANY sequencer or even a style editor like StyleMagic, it will sound different because it will play in CM7 scale only, so it won't sound the same as when played on your keyboard.  Our arranger keyboards have code in the Operating Sysytem to translate the style to play "normal" and follow our left hand chords.

Hi Joe H :

OK, I see.

I would be very grateful, if and when you have time, to convert the style I have sent to you.🌟

If possible, I would be very happy to let me know what your result impressions are.😀

If you are pleased with your XGW conversion, plse send me a copy. Thanks !

It would be great to compare your result with mine.

It is my intention to make my conversion tomorrow.

The original style ( I have sent to you ) sounds great on your S970 too. It is a pro style.

Your feedback would be much appreciated.😺

Best regards, Babette

I typically use StyleMagic for editing styles. I'm not sure what it is you are asking of me.  What do you mean by "XGW conversion"?  Do you want me to edit the style in XGWorks and save it back to MixMaster?  The S970 is a newer keyboard than the T5 and has Voices not present in the T5, but I guess I could use Legacy Voices so it plays correctly on your keyboard.  I'll try to find some time tonight, but no guarantees... I'm very busy these days.

Take all the time you need, Joe. When it suits you.

No rush at all.
I can easily wait for a couple of weeks and even longer, no problem.

I am not in a hurry.

This original commercial style was made for the T4.

My dream would be : the style will sound ( in XGW ) almost equal to the sound of the original style.

Maybe it is not possible.

Bye for now, Bernadette

Joe,

To my best knowledge you can put the attached file into your XGW directory to solve this problem.

Hope it will help you - regards <> Piet

OMG! thank you so much for the file. I love this old program and for years I haven't had notation working.
Actually I could never get it to load into my pc either. Might have worked in Win 7, but definitely not after that.
I got around it by copying the folder in which xgw resided in an old computer, to a usb stick.  I now run it off the usb stick. The above file works though, which is great.

You've made my day.
