Hi all,
The new tutorial is not quite finished yet. We have had some bushfires here on the island where I live and it stops me from working because I can't breathe properly.

Meanwhile you guys can download the spreadsheet and template that we will use.  It is called Spread32.

When you unzip the 2 files put it with the rest of your Midi Maker files. Make shortcuts on the desktop or taskbar for Midi Maker and Spread32.

I might be able to finish the new tutorial today. It looks like rain so that will put the fires out completely. I might be able to combine the last 3 tutorials into one. We will see.

Regards,
Richard

Finally finished part 2 of the tutorial. It is a long one, longer than I would have liked, nearly an hour. You might want to go through it bit by bit.

This tutorial goes into creating the song file in depth but you should get the idea pretty quickly.

Let me know if you need more information.

Richard

GREAT VIDEO - VERY CLEAR !

Hi Richard :

10:30 AM, Tuesday August 27, 2019.

Feel so sorry to hear you have " nature problems " over there. I hope and pray the fire will be stopped very soon.

Thank you for this great piece of art.WOW !

Everything is so well explained I do not have any prog questions.
I am looking forward to watching the Video 3. I cannot wait to turn all these data into music.  :)

I have just one question though : How do you make this beautiful Video ? Which prog do you use ?

Best regards, Babette

Tyros5Mad

Hi there folks,

Sorry for rambling on and on in the video. I want to ensure you understand exactly how it works.

I use Wondershare Filmora video editing software, which I purchased a few years ago  for about $25. It can record a screen and use that as a video.
My "secret place" is just another screen. I have dual screens on my computer.

BTW I have the files we were working on for you guys here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c1ibEH15JMefG93zFeNOf-Yj2fYOqGp8/view

The zip file contains the PDF file, the XLS song file and the CSV file for the full song. Download for the next part of the tutorial.

Hi RichardL :

I will use MM2 only to create my own songs.

After finishing the midi file in MM2 I will edit this MM2 midi file in XGWorks.

Lyrics input not necessary, I guess ?

Any suggestions ?

Cheers, Babette

Tyros5Mad

I don't understand.
Are you writing midi songs?
Are you writing songs without lyrics?
Who is the target audience for your songs?

Have you written any songs that can be shared with us?

Please explain.

Regards,
Richard

beykock

Yes, I am writing songs for a Record Cy which I cannot share due to copyright.
No, the lyrics are written by somebody else. I play the melody line.
OK ?

Regards, Babette

@Babette,

Is there at least one song that your record company has taken up and produced with an artist? If so where can we listen to this song? I am interested in all the music produced by our friends here at PSR Tutorial. I don't always know the songs but I listen anyway so that I can understand how the person is going about making his or her music. I have heard many very good contributions from the members here.

I would like to hear something that you have done. I am sure many others members would too. You always contribute comments and we appreciate that but so far no music. Come on don't be shy. We always encourage, never discourage people.

As for Part 3 of the tutorial, that will be coming soon.

Regards,
Richard

Yes, several of my songs have been recorded and distributed on CD locally, Richard.

Nobody here ( = PSR Tut Forum ) knows these songs.
Not interesting to share them.

I will no longer bother people here with my comments.
Promise.

Take care, Babette

Tyros5Mad

Wow Babette,

Your response is unexpected and disappointing to me. However, as I say, each to his/her own. Your comments will always be welcome to me.

Richard

There is absolutely no reason to be disappointed, Richard. ;)

I am very happy, grateful and very interested in your new prog MM2.  :)

I am looking forward to receiving your video # 3.

Thank you and best regards, Babette
