Hello Graham,
Tyros 5 now Uses Yamaha Expansion Manager or YEM for short. TVN files converted to UVN files can be loaded into the YEM and then exported as a pack to Genos via USB stick as long as you have flash memory on your keyboard. Vce are just voice files.

Eileen. vce files are they inbuilt voices that have been edited ?

Coming from 12 years (YES 12) with the excellent T2 where I could not use YEM & ppf files so never understood.

How can I get my aging brain around YEM & ppf's ?.

PS. I have just purchased (Delivery Friday) a clean unmarked mint T5-76 with HD, can't check yet if it as memory.

Your replies are appreciated.  Graham.

Hello Graham,
The YEM programme is loaded onto your computer and here you will import either Yamaha packs or your own packs made from UVN files. You will need to import your keyboards ID number into this before you can use it.
When you download the YEM from the Yamaha site there should also be a manual with instructions.

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
