Can Styles Be Converted from One Keyboard To Another?

Can a style file for a song be converted from one keyboard to another (for example, from Tyros 2 to a PSR-S770)? If the style does not sound correct, I have just not used it. However, I wonder if it can be modified to work. I investigated MixMaster, but I did not find a conversion capability there.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Yes these styles will work OK. You might want to adjust them for voice or volume but this can easily be done using the style creator on your keyboard.

Hi Jim,

You only need to convert them for older arrangers. You can do that with MidiPlayer. MixMaster has a batch facility that will assign the best new XG voices when you convert older to newer arranger styles. However, this is not a requirement at all. All older styles should play fine as-is on newer arrangers.

Keep well,
