Genos 1.4 and external monitor - what has been improved?

Would like to learn what kind of improvements have been realized with the new fw 1.4 and connecting an external monitor?
Like:
- can you connect any monitor either vga, dvi or hdmi (ps i know there is a usb adapter approved list by Yamaha)
- what should be the monitor resolution setting
- can you eg have the regular default home screen on your Genos and at the same time have the score on the external monitor?
- is the bouncing ball delay problem fixed now?
- any other feedback to this topic is most welcome

The external monitor connection has been fixed pretty well.

The scaling resolution has been improved and now the image on the external monitor very clear and smooth.

The red bouncing ball on the score display has been fixed also.

I have tested with a 15" monitor which maximum resolution is 1366x768, before the update, on this monitor the scaling was pretty poor resulting in a low quality image on the screen. Now, with version 1.4, using the same monitor, the image quality is perfect and it looks awesome.

In the promo for 1.4, I'm sure I saw that it would allow us to have the external monitor show the Genos screen (mirroring), text/lyrics or the score.

While lyrics and mirroring are able to be specified under Menu2>Utility>Speaker/Connectivity>Display Out>Content, I don't see any option for Score.

So if you were looking to be able to display the Score (independent of mirroring), it's not there.

One more follow-up question:

- Is it recommended to use a VGA, DVI or HDMI monitor? or that's not making any difference?
- What monitor size is recommended? 15 inch? 22 inch ?
- although Yamaha supports various brands / models USB to monitor adapters, is there any preferred?

it also work fine over HDMI to a HD TV. Using lyrics or mirroring.. It did not before,

Thanks again for the help and support.
It's a pity that with Genos 1.4, Yamaha did not add the function in the menu to provide separate output for the score to an external monitor. Now it's only possible to mirror the score from the Genos display.
Anyhow and that's another question.....although Yamaha did provide a recommended list for USB to VGA/HDMI adapters like the ITec USB2HDTRIO, i rather see that these adapters are expensive (average 40 - 50 Euro).
Does anybody have any good experience with another model that also works from eg Aliexpress? if yes, what do you recommend?
