Would  someone post the procedure for  formatting a USB drive in Genos?   Thank you.  Reg

Hi Reg,

The procedure is clearly described in the section 'Formatting a USB flash drive or the internal User drive' at the top of page 112 of the Genos Owner's Manual.

However here is an extract from it...

1 Connect a USB flash drive for formatting to the [USB TO DEVICE] terminal.

2 Call up the operation display via [MENU] > [Utility] > [Storage].

3 Touch the name of the desired drive to be formatted in the device list.
The indications USB 1, USB 2, etc. are displayed, depending on the number
assigned to the connected device.

4 Touch [Format] to execute the Format operation.

However, the keyboard will simply do a 'quick format', using FAT32, just like your computer will probably do by default.

The vast majority of USB sticks of 64 GB or less will already be formatted as FAT32 from new.

Despite what you may read, there is nothing magical or special about the keyboard's format function.

However reformatting a new stick, either on the keyboard or a computer could still be worth doing since it should get rid of any troublesome manufacturer's bloatware that might be on the drive, especially so called 'security encryption software' such as SanDisk's 'SecureAccess'.
