I had trouble with Tyros4 and 5 playing outside as you could not see the screen in sunlight even with a tilt screen.

I wonder if you can now see the Genos screen in sunlight?
I can't even see it in the shade while sitting down. I have to stand, lean over and peer
from up close. Without doing that, it only becomes visible after dark.

Best Regards,
Abby.

Why can't Yamaha make an update for a black and white screen for outside like a screen on a Kindle???
Would make sense. :)
Not fancy ,but fit for purpose.

All the Best

today i did play again a open air gig. in the first time i was in the shadow behind a tree. but 30 minutes later the sun came to my keyboard. no problem with the psr 975. yamaha built the best keyboards. maybe the genos 2 have a better screen.

Hi.

Gary, the percent you talk about, in my country, is home players, and the rest of them are gigs players :D In my country there is a consistent "reward" ( :D ) in money, when you play on gigs.  So most of young musicians learn very quickly from experimented musicians, and they sing on gigs from 14-15 year age ;)

PS: The new generation have a look like 10 years older than us on their ages ;)

Regards,
Vali

Vali, always great to hear from you. The percentage I quoted was from a world-wide survey conducted about 10 years ago by an outside firm in the USA. The data is from a world-wide perspective, and therefore does not reflect what takes place in smaller areas of the globe. Glad to see you have some younger musicians in Romania taking an active part in becoming entertainers using an arranger keyboard. Far too many youngsters in my part of the world only have interest in their smart phones and I-pads and do not want to take the time to learn how to become a musician and entertainer - so sad!

All the best,

When I had the Genos, which I used for only homeplaying, I had to cover the display of the Genos too for the artificial lights in my homestudio, as they causes an annoying glare on the Genos display. Now I have the S975 it is not needed to cover the screendisplay in the same circumstances. Why , I don't know??? But  I'm pleased with that fact.
My best regards,
