Hello!

Could you please help me?

My YEM program is not working. The program worked well even a couple of weeks ago when I downloaded the new expansion pack. If I remember correctly, then I had a total of 6 expansion packs at the time, but they all fit well. Now I can't download any package, I always get the same error message: Cannot save the file. Make sure that, the memory size is not write-protected (what it means) and there is enough free. Size cannot be a problem when no package can be downloaded. In the past, the program has worked well. I still removed the previous version of YEM today and downloaded a new one online, same result. My keyboard is SX900.

What can I do?

Regards,

Juke

Hi Juke,
A similar thing happened to me some time ago (on SX900). I solved it by formatting the memory directly from the SX900 as shown in the photo (menu2/Utility/Storage/Format 4 GB ...).
Of course this will erase all expansions, even the pre-installed ones, so you need to have all the packs on hand to be able to reinstall them with YEM. This way I fixed the YEM low memory error.
But Please also wait for the advice of others ...

Hi Juke,

I recommend to delete all existing .cpi or .ppi files from your USB stick manually before saving a new Pack Installation file to the stick. This is because YEM sometimes have a problem to overwrite an existing .cpi/.ppi file on the USB stick.

If the problem (that you cannot save a Pack Install file correctly) persists, try to select only ONE Pack at a time, and then save this as Pack Install file. If this fails on certain Packs, delete these Packs from YEM and download the Packs again from Yamaha:

Hi again,

Great, now it works fine again. I have deleted all my old .cpi files (I had 6 .cpi files), and now it works fine.
I thought that I`ll try this top first, and after that I format the memory, if necessary.

Pietro and Chris, thanks a lot and have a great Saturday evening!
