I want to hook up a another keyboard such as a P515 or DGX 660 to my PSR 975.
Trying to get 88 keys with the hammer action but want to hear the great voices and sounds of the PSR 975.

My wife used to play an acoustical piano and is used to 88 keys and a hammer action.
Will she be able to play the 88 keyboard and get the voices, styles, registrations etc. out to the Psr 975?
Has anyone done this and how has it worked out?
I assume you just hook up thru midi cables and set the keyboards to "talk" to each other.

All input is greatly appreciated!!

Short answer is yes, you can hook up an 88 key piano and use it to drive accompaniment and voices. Use midi cable ad connect midi out from the 88 key to midi in on the psr. You can select from menu options to decide exactly what you want to do, but typically you would set up to allow the 88 key to be the keyboard to play and the PSR to only produce the sounds. But there are also ways to have the piano sound pass through.
There is an article on this I wrote some years ago. Go to PSR home, select music tab, then articles and scroll to CP33 review.

Mike,
Just finished reading your article. Nicely done, a lot of information explained well and easy to understand.
I am not a good player and still learning the basics of playing piano, and I do mean the very basics of learning.
I just enjoy arranging midis that I download from this site and playing with different voices and arrangements of songs and then just listening to them.

I also think my wife may really enjoy the 88 keys with hammer touch response.
Thanks for writing the article and taking the time to post it was very helpful.
