Hi. Happy new year
I have in the past used a program called 'midi connections light' for editing midi files but haven't used it for several years. I just wonder if there is anything that is easier to use. I just want to be able to transpose key, mute tracks and save on USB stick so I can then save the file on my Tyros 4. I am happy to pay for something that is decent.

Thank you

The 'Song Creator' function built into the T4 will allow you to do all that you refer to with ease, and you can then save the results directly to the T4 or USB!

If you haven't already done so, you should download a copy of the 'Tyros4 Reference Manual' from the Yamaha Download website. This is not the same as the 'Tyros4 Owner's Manual' which is supplied in hard copy form with the keyboard!

Chapter 3 : Songs, starting on page 53 explains how to use the 'Song Creator' function to edit MIDIs.

Thanks Ian! Much appreciated!  :D

I've attached a copy of the Tyros 4 Reference Manual for you, Rob, in the event you are unable to locate or download it.  :)

Hi Rob here is the lesson with screenshots:

Don't forget to adjust volumes, change voices, equalizing the parts etc to the midi file to sound the best way on your keyboard.
In Yamaha's keyboards/manuals a midi file usually is been called as a midi "Song".

That's very useful. Thank you Panos.
