I purchased a Dr05 from Sweetwater and am having big time problem figuring out the manual and how to use it.  I have been able to record but when I playback I'm getting very little  volume from the builtin speaker,  I have speaker on and vol set to max,

I never tried to use the internal speakers. I always use headphones, PC, or external system.
I just tried it and the volume is not loud at all.
You do know there is an on/off setting under Menu, Speakers. And also you can turn the volume to maximum by pressing the Up button. Still not much volume though.

That may be just the way it is Don.  I will try with headphones later.  Thanks for the quick reply/

That did it Don.  Thanks a ton for your help on this.  I'm sure that I'm going to get a lot of good use out of the recorder.  I plan on using it to hear what the audience is hearing and trying to figure out how to improve the sound I produce.

I am on my fourth one!  Not that they don't hold up, it's just that I use one every night, doing just what you said, recording myself to try to get better.
I have two in great shape, another one that will still record but the display went out, and another that died when it was dropped on concrete.

Concrete is very unfriendly to gadgets!😀
