The  same song can have different titles.

Ruby and the Romantics recorded "Hey There Lonely Boy" in the sixties and Eddie Holman recorded the same song as "Hey There Lonely Girl," in the seventies and did better with it.

Carole King  wrote,"Go Away Little Girl," which was recorded by Bobby Vee and others and did well in the charts.

Decades later, the jazz singer Marlena Shaw recorded it as, "Go Away Little Boy."

I've had the CD for about twenty years on which  a version appears. I played it the other night, which prompted me to have a go at playing it.
This was recorded at a club and she tells  a funny story at the begining. A bit of a  comment on American social values.

But boy does she sing it well. She had an excellent backing trio too.
