Does anyone know if the power supply for the s910 is the same as the s970

Hi chet808,

as mentioned in the corresponding Owner's Manuals, the original power adapter models are:

• PSR-S910 (power consumption ?? W): Yamaha PA-300B
• PSR-S950 (power consumption 16 W): Yamaha PA-300C
• PSR-S970 (power consumption 20 W): Yamaha PA-300C
• PSR-S975 (power consumption 20 W): Yamaha PA-300C

The "C" model is the successor of the "B" model (and also the successor of the "PA-301" power adapter model).

To my knowledge, the specifications of these three models are identical:

Output Voltage: 16 V DC
Output Amperage (max.): 2,4 A
Output Wattage (max): 38 W

This means, you can use the PSR-S910 power adapter also for the S970 and vice versa. If you have to buy a NEW adapter, I recommend the PA-300C model:

Thank you very much just wanted to know because I have a brand new power supply that a friend gave me from a S910 now that I know it will work I'll keep it for a spare just in case.

Hi chet808,

thanks for your feedback!

Yes, you can keep that S910 power adapter as a spare part für your S970.

As a precaution I recommend to compare the technical data which are printed on the adapters. It should be the values I mentioned above.

I would also test the adapter once on the S970 to make sure that it really works.

Best regards,
Chris
