Hello everyone
I downloaded bandlab and it seems to run OK on my win 10 computer, It's a bit overwhelming.
I'm only interested in Midi at the present time and editing midi's played on the PSR S950 although I may graduate to recording sound on it later.

My experience is minimal with computer editors but I remember my favorite one was cakewalk 5 , it seemed to do what I needed and that is what I'm looking for in the new version , Changing Midi assignments , pan , volume reverb and such.

Is there a way to put the PSR S950 list of insrtuments  into the New Cakewalk so that it will be easier to edit instead of using GM  or XG instruments?

Are there any tutorials on settup  with PSR keyboards, ( I know how to Midi back and forth )
Is there software synths that emulate the PSR S950

Also when Recording into  Cakewalk via Midi does all the sys ex stuff get recorded, I also want to record Midi files to playback on non Yamaha devices so the odd sounds that you get when you transfer a Midi file created directly on the PSR  don't play on the other midi devices

Thanks
Hayseed

Hayseed,

Here is the link to your instrument definition file. http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/ins/psrS950.zip Compliments of Jørgen Sørensen.

Directions for instalation can be found here. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Instrument_Defs.03.html

I understand the new Calkwalk has many instrument definition files built in, so check to see it there is one for the psr s950 before downloading.

Hope this helps!
