Song-specific styles?

I'm a newbie, so I would appreciate any help you can provide here. What is the proper term for "song-specific" styles, as opposed to "generic" styles?

By "generic" I mean country rock, waltz, east jazz, etc.

By song-specific I mean styles that have been customized for specific songs such as Get Back, Drivin' My Life Away, Sweet Caroline, etc.

My goal is to find good sources of "song-specific" styles, so hints on that are appreciated too.

Thanks in advance.

I think you have the right term. Maybe 'custom style' might also yield results.
Be warned though, many so called song specific styles turn out to be nothing more than a generic style with the tempo set for that song or other minor edits.

Thanks!

Are there some recognized sources (companies or individuals) of well-made song-specific styles?

The links panos has given area treasure trove of styles but like I said before, just because a style has a song title may not mean it is a 'cover' of the well known recording of the song. Just a style that works for that song. I think that 'covers' are what you have in mind and you can only find out by trying them. Hate to be negative, but truth is that it can be tedious and time consuming to find the few gems. I guess I'm trying to say don't expect too much!

On this site you can buy a songstyle, a multipad, a midi and the sheet all together:

Mike is absolutelly right about that maybe some songs are just suitable styles for a song.
You can test the style you are looking for on how it sounds on your computre with a midi player program.
If it reminds you the song you are looking for even if you hear it in C major, then it is probably a songstyle.
Afterwards you have to  listen to it also on your keyboard and probably you will need to fix the voices and equalize the parts if it is made for another model than yours.

The majority of songs don't have a discrete arrangment (eg a unique drum pattern or a characteristic bass pattern) so for those songs you can choose a style from Yamaha's presets.
It will probably sound better.

And you can always use the assembly fuction of the style creator to mix parts between styles

You can find thousands of Gary's gig disk styles (song-specific styles) on Gary Diamond's Gig Disks page:

https://psrtutorial.com/sty/gigDisks/GD_gary.html

There are over 9,000 styles available on the many other pages you will find in the Styles > Gig Disks section of the main site.

Gary, the fine tuning of the styles is terrific. It allows for an immediate start of the game.
Giant thanks and subsequently good luck for your birthday.

Glad I could be of assistance. Keep in mind that the USB drive is the result of decades of working with Yamaha arranger keyboards and many of those styles came from other forum members. I just fine tuned them to my needs.

All the best,
