It may be that the style file is too large, or that the file name is too long. Try renaming it.

There does seem to be something strange about this zip archive! (Onacimus Conversions > S970 SuperMegaPlus Styles > 04-Ballad2-S970.zip)

After correctly unzipping the downloaded zip archive, the style files are contained in a sub folder off the main one (which is not unusual), but there are two files for most of the styles!

Each style has a correctly named and extracted file which load and play fine on my Tyros4.

However there is also a second file for 105 of the above styles, which is just 4 KB in size and whose name begins with '._', just like the ones in your screen dump.  These are present in the folder that I transferred to a USB stick, but they are not listed by my T4.

I suggest that both types of file are probably also in your folder on USB, but your S970 is able to list the ones beginning with '._'. However because they are not correctly extracted/formatted style files they will generate an error if you try to load one.

The 'correct' files are probably also contained in the same folder, but will be listed after the others because of the alphabetical way that Yamaha sorts lists.

If both types are present in the folder, there should be 219 files in total which would need 22 pages to list all of them on your S970.  Of these, 105 are the 'corrupted' ones, so I would expect to find the correct ones starting on page 11 of the style selection screen.

If this is what has happened, I would simply delete all the 'corrupted' files from the folder which is what I have done.

If you find a set of files starting with "._" these are files created in a Mac that identify the type of file.  On a PC, you can safely delete all of these.  If a folder is zipped on a Mac, the zip file includes all of these  "._" files.  This is why I normally take files from my Mac to the PC and compress them there.

I have double-checked all the zip files in the S970 SuperMegaPlus set.  The 02-Ballad file was the only one with the extra mac files.  I have replaced that zip file with one that has all the Mac files removed.
