Hi. I am new to Genos. I also have a 15 year old CGP1000 grand.

Just learning that SFF1 Styles will run on the grand as well as on Genos. Big bonus!!

On which model did Yamaha begin using SFF2? I need to know this so that I don't get loading issues of PSR files are SFF1.

My goal is to use the huge amount of Styles that I got from PSR Forum my placing them one a thumbdrive. Then I can use the portable drive between the 2 instruments.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Tommarr,

Up to Tyros2 and PSR-S900/700, the SFF1 style file format is used. From Tyros3 and PSR-S910/710, the current SFF2 (= SFF GE) format is used. (SFF2 models can also read SFF1 styles, of course.)

Best regards,
Chris

In Claviova land, the CVP400 series (CVP409/407/405/403/401 & CGP1000) were the last to use sff1. The tyros 3 (end of 2009) was the first to use SFF2, which then meant the CVP500 series, PSRX10 (910/710) and all subsequent series were SFF2.
