Hi
Is it possible to record vocals in the on-board audio recorder of a s970 ?

I've connected and setup my microphone - Sennheiser E835s - I can hear it ok through the on-board speakers ( I don't have external speakers) but when I sing and record it along with one of my created midi files on the audio recorder, it records the midi perfectly but  I can barely hear my singing ??

What a I doing wrong ? Any thoughts or suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks
Sue 😀

Hello Sue! Congrats with the Sennheiser microphone, I have it too. There is a small, round knob at the back of the S970 that regulates the gain of the microphone. It may be that this knop is turned down. Try turning it up and see if it gets better. I must admit that I had good intentions to sing, but have not done much of it yet. When I get my S970 back, I have to do something about it....

You cannot record vocals on the MIDI recorder - only the USB audio recorder records vocals.

Hi sue
make sure your gain on the back of your key board is on mic... when setting your gain keep talking in your mic as you turn your gain up ,there is a little light on the signal button of the key board watch that light go from green to red ,when the signal is on red back off until it is solid green its ok if it hits red now and then, also you may need to turn your output up higher in your mixer ,mine is set to 71 but I am using a powerful sound system and you also need to make sure your mic is turned on in the key board as well I will send you pic of my set up if you like ,let me know
GOOD LUCK also make sure your mic, volume on the screen is on
on the back of the key board the switch is  Guitar or Mic, the switch should be to mic
