Possible to reverse wav back to midi ?

Hi
I have recorded a lot of my playing using the quick record on my s970 and then re-recoreded it by playing it in the song section and recorded in the audio player to get wav files.
Well that was all fine until I decided I'd like to have a go at adding vocals. The problem is that my original recordings all have the melody recorded - never occurred to me to switch off melody channel in quick record at the time and besides at that time I wanted the melody there anyway.
Of course I stupidly got rid of a lot of my original midi recordings grrrrr !
Is there any way I can convert the wav files back to midi so I can then mute the melody channel and record again or do I have to record them all again  from scratch using quick record melody channel muted ??

Hope that makes sense and someone is able to advise me.
Thanks
Sue

Sue,

The answer to your question is NO.  MIDI files are so small that they take up almost no room on your User Drive, a USB drive or computer, so you can store them anywhere.

Joe gave the answer. It is tried many times, also by me but it does NOT work.
