I came across video demos of these expansion packs for Yamaha Genos/Tyros 5. They sound pretty good, although there's not much information on the site regarding voice lists or format (ppf or otherwise?).  Just wondered if anyone has tried them?

You might look on Easy Sounds as well.  And you will probably pay more, but Peter has been a sound programmer for Yamaha for many years. He has both FM and Analog packs for sale.  I've noticed that some third party producers of packs do not much consider memory size, which translates into their packs being too large and don't leave us room for other packs.  It's a trade-off of sorts, but it is an important consideration.  With thoughtful application of DSPs we can make Voices sound very good even with small sample size.

Thanks for the response Joe, although I already have the excellent EasySounds packs (I previously had the same titles on my Montage and they are very high quality products.  Just looking for some new non-orchestral type sounds and came across these. Whilst Yamaha Expansion Packs are great quality, they are top end prices. I have also tried the sounds available for free from CMS Sounddesign - also very good quality and a lot of variety on offer.

Have a look at CMS sounds. Here you get hundreds of high class free sounds from a professional sound programmer:

Hi EileenL, that happened to me too. The Edge-browser causes that in my case, using another browser (like Firefox) will do the job.

Hi Simon
I buy from them another expansion pack: FARFISA COMBO for my Tyros 5.
http://soundandstyles.grandblogs.com/farfisa.php

I was looking this sound (FARFISA ORGAN) for a project and I see a youtube video with a presentation of this expansion pack.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZVReL4Vgm8

I get a .ppf file and basic instructions on how to import the material to YEM (in my case i'm already educated enough on how to handle this type of material, so i totally skip the instructions....)
The size of the pack is almost 115 MB. The quality is very good (perfect loops, multi sampled sounds etc.) I consider this a "professional" production.

I consider that the 18 USD "investment" is a good value for money. From the 55 sounds of the pack i use more than 15 for my project and I'm quite satisfy.
They also have eBay listings with the same packs for 22 USD, so buying directly from them was a little bit (-4 USD) cheaper :)

I think that they mention in the description that this is a .ppf file
On the other hand, according my opinion, a voice list doesn't help much.
A voice list with names like "Organ 1", "Organ 2", "Organ 3" etc. etc. doesn't provide enough information about the sounds. The perfect solution will be a list and a small sound clip for every sound in order to actually hear the sound.
But i think that this is tooooo much work. Even Yamaha (who asks 100+ USD for an expansion pack) doesn't provide this type of presentations (list with names and sound clip for every sound)

I used to have a Farfisa organ-- a Farfisa Matador 611. :)
