On my Korg Pa600 I can create DNC sounds (directly on the keyboard) which are the equivalents of Super Articulation sounds on my Yamaha PSR S970. But with Yem I don't see a option to create Megavoices or Super Articulation voices. I have a lot samples on my PC (Peruvian Pan Flutes, Latin Brass and Woodwinds, etc) with a lot of articulations, but I can't create for example a Cuban Tres Megavoice to use it on Cuban and latin styles. Do you think Yamaha will update the expansion manager soon?

If you have samples one way to cause them to articulate to different timbres is to use velocity and note ranges to switch, which you can do already in YEM.

I watched 30 seconds of that video and decided -
Well, maybe the sounds I already have are good enough for what I do.

Hi Joe

I don't suppose it is something I will ever have the Patience to follow through, however many thanks for the link. It is just nice to know that it can be done should I need it in the future.

Hi --

Here are links to my blog posts about voice editing with YEM. One of the posts discusses MegaVoice specifically.

Uli and I discovered that one needs element-level control over the velocity sensitivity and offset in order to do MV correctly. This is one of many features which Yamaha needs to add to YEM.

All the best -- pj
