Musicfinder Plus stopped working

A friend of mine owns a Tyros4 and is a frequent user of Musicfinder+.
Since a couple of weeks he experiences problems with connecting to MF+...... a message pops up "Cannot display the page"

He did check het network connection and it is working.

It looks like MF+ webpage has changed or is closed?

Any ideas what might cause it?

'Music Finder +' accessed the Yamaha IDC service which used the so called 'Yamaha special website'.   

Yamaha stopped the IDC service at the end of June 2016, so unless it was closed at different times in different parts of the world (unlikely!), I don't know how your friend managed to use it until a couple of weeks ago!

For more than a year before the closure, the home page of the IDC site displayed the message: "We regret to inform you that Yamaha will terminate it's Internet Direct Connection service at the end of June 2016."  I don't know when the site was finally taken down.

Yamaha Support also just informed me about this.

Just wonder why my friend did not notice the announcement and why he told me the problem showed up a few week ago.

I too was able to use the service until recently. I guess there is no alternative.

There is an alternative,

Some users created extended MF files for their keyboards that had loads of extra songs added to the original.
I've attached my T4 MF files they contain the original MF files for the Tyros 4 but also quite a few of the MF+ records.
