Hello,
I just received my Genos and tried to import the Tyros 5 .mfd (Music Finder) file via a USB stick.
The import starts to execute but Genos eventually gives the following message: "Data Not Properly Loaded".

I've downloaded 2 different copies of the Tyros 5 .mfd file and have also formatted my USB stick in Genos.

Has anyone experienced this issue or have suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know, there is a bug in the newest firmware 1.30. Which firmware do you have on your Genos?

Post one of your .mfd files so we can give it a try.

Yes you should update to 1.30 and use anothter mfd...the CVP709 one with even more and better registrations:

For the procedure follow this youtube:

Worked for me, and also the tyros5 mfd worked instantly.

thanks.

I did not even know you could import the MF to Genos.  I will try this later today or tomorrow.

One question:  instead of importing to Genos, is there a website for just looking at the list of songs and corresponding styles ?

thanks in advance.

Update: I purchased a compatible USB stick, installed the latest firmware (1.30) and was able to successfully upload the .mfd file provided by Hans, to Genos. I'm not sure whether all 3 steps were required but glad it worked and thankful to all for your help!

HI Al
You can use Michael's "Music Finder Viewer"
http://psrtutorial.com/MB/musicfinderview.html
If you just want to look at the song and associated styles contained in the MFD file

thanks for the link.  I will check it.  I also downloaded a spreadsheet that i found on other posts on this forum.  It contains all MF for all yamaha keyboards.

I really do not need/want to download that info to my keyboard.  I just want to be able to from time to time look up a song or two and see what is the style that goes with it.

thanks again.
