I have just purchased an app called, Sheet Music Scanner from the iTunes Store. Cost me  AU$5.99 really great value.

I can often play songs by ear after listening to them a few times on the internet or my CD collection.  Unfortunately with some music  I have a real struggle playing, and this is where sheet music can be useful.  However I have a visual disability which makes reading scores  very challenging and difficult.  One song that I have wanted to play for a very long time now is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Music of the Night". I can play a portion of it, however some of the sections "I just can't get"  my head or ears around.

Yesterday I accidentally found "Sheet Music Scanner"on the  iTunes Store.  What an amazing app!

‎‏ I had the score for Music of the Night (MOTN), and took a photograph of it on my iPad.  I then imported this song into the ' Sheet music scanner ' app and highlighted the parts that I hadn't  been able to get my ears around and I repeated these over and over again until they clicked for me. Fantastic.  Before listening to MOTN, I used the transpose button to adjust it to my favorite key  and also adjusted the tempo.

I was very excited at this point and wondered if I would be able to play some music on my keyboard, [some music that I had composed myself], and have this converted to a score that could be printed up and shared with  anyone who wanted to play my composition. Worked like a dream🎹

My musical world has opened up greatly :) :) :)
