Hello everyone, i have some wav sounds (synths) for solo playing that i need to use on genos.
The voice samples are only 3 sec long and would want to make it looped so it doesn't stop after 3 seconds
maybe this is very simple but can't figure it out. I don't see any option on yem or genos.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
THANKS

I think you need to modify the WAV file itself to set loop markers, then use that WAV file in YEM.

There are some free sound editing tools online to help, something like Wavesaur
Genos

so i need another third party wav program just for that?

Hi DetroitSB --

Yep, you'll need a wave editor. To make matters complicated, not all tools produce the same loop markers. (Aren't standards wonderful? There are so many.)

Fortunately, you can still find copies of the Yamaha Tiny Wave Editor (TWE) on the Web. I've used TWE to loop samples for YEM. TWE is free and it produces loop markers that YEM understands.

Hope this helps -- pj

Audacity works on all platforms and is free. Does all the things you are looking for.

Hi,
Audacity does'nt loop samples, it just repeats between two marks or just copies a certain number of the sample to make a loop with certain lenght .
You must use a soft able to loop your sample as Wavosaure, Extrem Sampler Converter or any soft like these. After modification of your samples, you save them and you can use them in YEM to create voices.

What about sound forge? Is yem going to read it?!

Yes Sound Forge does the job. I got all my Tabla samples looped from Sound Forge
